Shutters are basically individual wood, pvc or mdf panels with either traditional solid or louvred centre sections. They can be rectangular or shaped, have various choices of louvre blade widths or solid centre sections and can be finished in any colour that takes your fancy. These panels are then hinged together or singularly within a framework or they can hang from a track (depending on how wide the opening is).

All you do then is take a given width (a whole window or section of a window) and divide it into a certain number of panels across that width.

It could be 1 shutter panel wide, it could be 2 or 3 or 4, 6 or 8…..You get the idea. The layout and design of your windows or doors, together with where the shutters can physically and sensibly fold to, will dictate how many panels across will provide the most flexible and practical division.

"Just so you know, we only use hardwoods for our production except when applications require a completely waterproof solution. Then we use PVC / Poly Vinyl"
