Another amazing feature of our shutters is that there's no such thing as a standard colour! No constraints as with some imported shutters where you can have any colour as long as it’s on our list! A truly bespoke installation can be achieved by simply bringing in your new shutters with an existing colour scheme you already have or are planning to have. No Company is better placed to help you get the very best from your investment.

Standard Finishes: sorry to disappoint you….but as we mentioned above, there aren’t any! Well, if we’re pushed then it will have to be white.

You can basically have any colour you like. On the basis that your shutters will be painted “a colour” then the first one is “on the house”. If you have a number of windows and want different colours for each one then we do have to add a mixing charge of between £45.00 and £60.00 Inc. VAT (depending on the depth of colour required) for each colour to cover what can amount to considerable wastage if only a small amount is needed. All we need is a manufacturer, together with the colour range or name, a RAL number or British Standard paint code.

If you have no particular preference then white is probably the best choice. Future-proof, neutral, easy to work in with any colour scheme, you can’t really go wrong.

Custom finishes: If you (or your decorator or designer) suddenly have a weird and wonderful flash of inspiration and you need your shutters to match.......No problem. If its really obscure or outside the box then all we need is a small sample and our paint specialists will work their magic and provide the ingredients to match the paint to the finish of your choice.

Staining: Staining is not for the faint hearted and needs great care and consideration. Not quite as flexible when it comes to re-decorating your rooms as it could “date” a project if not very carefully thought through. Also it can have a tendency to subdue a room quite considerably so unless you are trying to create a theme or match to something specific, it can be better to avoid staining your shutters. That said, if you have your heart set then who are we to disappoint. Just be aware that what ever colour you choose stain-wise, it will always look darker in the window due to the fact that it will create its own silhouette with the light coming in from behind.
